Biopac to join Sheila Dillon and Henry Dimbleby in Caffè Culture Show Speaker Line-Up.

BBC Radio 4 Food Programme presenter Sheila Dillon joins the Caffè Culture Show’s expert speaker line-up to chair a discussion by the Sustainable Restaurant Association about how to run a sustainable Café. Dillon is joined by panelists Henry Dimbleby, Co-Founder of the Sustainable Restaurant Association and restaurant chain LEON, Anita Popham, Head of Food at Boston Tea Party Café Group, Ian Woodhurst, UK Campaigns Manager (Dairy) at World Animal Protection, and Director of Biopac for the Beyond Beans session on 13th May at 4:15, Olympia London.

The FoodSave project is an excellent initiative run by the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) who Biopac work very closely with to help reduce the amount of waste going into landfill.

FoodSave is a project helping London restaurants reduce their food waste. Since the beginning of the year they have worked with dozens of restaurants and saved them thousands of pounds a year. FoodSave is totally FREE to take part in thanks to funding by the Mayor of London, London Waste and Recycling Board and European Regional Development Fund.

Biopac has designed a range of eco-friendly disposables for the Sustainable Restaurant Association in support of its new Cafe Rating.

The Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) has recently launched a new cafe rating, an excellent new scheme to improve sustainability standards across cafes in the UK. The SRA has been working with Costa to develop this scheme and support more than 10,000 Cafes on their sustainability journey.

The new rating places a great emphasis on the high volume of disposable items used by cafes, encouraging the use of eco-friendly alternatives. The SRA approached Biopac to design a range of compostable disposables to make available to Cafes who achieve this rating.

Lunch Show 2014

Back from London and surrounded by boxes of samples. We take some time out to reflect on the Lunch Show. For the second year running, Biopac has enjoyed being one of over 300 exhibitors at Lunch, the contemporary food to go show. With a record number of attendees through the doors this year, the Show had so much to offer Cafes, Coffee Shops, Deli's and Caterers – the Shows biggest audience.
